BHS Filtration Process & Filtration Testing

BHS Filtration Laboratory

For most applications, BHS recommends performing a bench-scale test prior to renting a pilot unit or purchasing a production unit.  The BHS Pocket-Leaf Filter (PLF) bench-scale testing is described in the PLF Bulletin and Technical Article "Test It Right".  This test can be performed either on-site at your facility or at the BHS test lab, shown above, in Charlotte with product that you supply.  The PLF bench-scale testing can confirm the proper filtration method for your application, as well as determine optimum filtration features such as cake thickness, filter media parameters, and cake solids discharge.  A test report will be provided that outlines the test results and the recommended, scale-up production unit based on the collected test data.  Please complete the Application Data Sheet and we will contact you about scheduling this test program and beginning our process discussions.
